Die Welt - Constanze Klementz

Were it not for those hard beats, the young man could pass as a Jehova’s Witness. He distributes stickers with the label "Berlin GoGos - The Agency”. Anything but Jehova. Beautiful bodies whirling behind him across the screen in true Berlin style, before the night skyline or in half-decayed ballrooms. The newest project of the so smartly dressed choreographer Christoph Winkler is a DVD. The disc contains nine Gogo-sets of contemporary dance, "an explosive mélange of aesthetics and movement, eroticism and style, decadence and extravagance” live out of the can. Is this the new dance for the "poor-but-sexy” capital?
